"При нагрузке теряется физическое сетевое подключение"

Сервер под управлением Fedora 9, ядро 2.6.25-108. На нем стоит proftpd и две сетевых карты. По одной сервер соединен с единственной машиной под управлением Windows XP напрямую обратным патч-кордом (готовлю сервер), по другой - с интернет.
Есть две проблемы:
1. Иногда при скачке из инета (например, при установке через yum пакетов) на сервере пропадает интернет. Перезапуск network не помогает, только рестарт сервера.
2. При закачке на сервер около 80ГБ данных, каждые 5 секунд на XP выскакивает окно "Сетевой кабель не подключен". Смотрю в FTP клиенте - тоже ошибки.
Что это может быть? Сетевой кабель точно исправен, сетевухи тоже проверил на всякий случай.

А в логах на линукс машине посмотреть религия не позволяет?
Хотя после "пропадает интернет. Перезапуск network не помогает, только рестарт сервера" предыдущий вопрос можно считать риторическим.

Логи смотри. Причём на виндовсе тоже. У меня была проблема с глюкавым драйвером для встроенной в мамку начипмете VIA сетевухи - падала под нагрузкой.

Кабель тоже можно поменять - мож контакт плохой.

Это сетевуха, не парся, была такая же проблема!!!! Просто карту поменяй.

angra, извиняюсь за то, что не раскрыл полную картину.
Все на так просто, я голову сломал над этой проблемой, ни один совет из Гугула не помогает, но похоже я далеко не единственный с такой проблемой.
Итак, что есть:
Сервер под управлением Fedora 9, ядро обновил до 2.6.26.3-29.fc9.i686. На нем стоит две сетевых карты - встроенный Broadcom b44 и D-link DGE-550T. По одной сервер соединен с одним коммутатором, по другой - с другим. К каждому коммутатору подключены разные рабочие станции под управлением Windows XP.
Железо 100% рабочее, только что взял чистый винчестер и поставил на этот сервер Windows 2003 - все работает. Т.е. дело не в проводах и оборудовании.
Проблемы:
1. при большой сетевой нагрузке (закачке на сервер файла размером 500МБ по smb или по ftp) через 5-10 СЕКУНД сетевая карта D-link DGE-550T (через нее идет закачка) отваливается, т.е. устройство есть, но ping не идет. Помогает ТОЛЬКО перезагрузка сервера.
2. То же, только в профиль. При закачке через Broadcom возрастает ping до этого интерфейса, возникают потери (около 40%). Как только перестаю закачивать - все ОК.
Что пробовал и это не дало никакого результата:
1. вытащить одну из сетевок
2. отключить в BIOS встроенную сетевку
3. отключить в параметрах загрузки ядра ACPI (совет из гугла)
4. отключить в параметрах загрузки ядра APIC (совет из гугла)
5. поставил Windows 2003 и убедился, что железо рабочее.

Пробовал, стоит самый последний.
В общем, похоже, реально проблема:

dl2k что в 2.6.24, что в 2.6.26 одинаков, но при этом в 2.6.24.4 и 2.6.24.3 работает, а в остальных - нет.
Вот и думаю, ждать патча или покупать другую сетевую карту, время поджимает.

В итоге отключил в BIOS встроенную сетевуху, вынул DGE-550. Купил Compex 100 и D-link DGE-530T на чипе Marvell. Сконфигурировал все, работает (тьфу-тьфу-тьфу). Жалко только убитых несколько дней, вот такое вот совпадение, в системе две сетевухи и с обоими проблемы на ядре 2.6:
