    NAME
devfseventd - kernel event notification daemon for devfsadmd

    SYNOPSIS
         /usr/lib/devfsadm/devfseventd

    DESCRIPTION
devfseventd(1M) is a daemon that provides kernel event
notification services to the devfsadmd(1M) daemon.

devfsadmd uses devfseventd to receive notifications when
device nodes are added or removed from the kernel device
tree or when a new version of path_to_inst(4) needs to be
         flushed to disk.

         The /etc/rcS.d/S50devfsadm script starts devfseventd.
